Purpose of Battery Pump Assistance Scheme
Crop protection is very important to control pests and diseases that damage agricultural crops. After the pest and disease are identified in the crop, it has to be sprayed with the appropriate pesticide. Keeping this matter in mind, this scheme has been implemented by the government. In this scheme farmers will be given subsidy on pumps for spraying medicine.
Eligibility to avail the benefit of the scheme
The benefit of this scheme is provided by the Department of Agriculture, Government of Gujarat. There are certain eligibility criteria for this scheme. Which are as follows.
- Farmer should be from Gujarat state.
- The farmer should be of small, marginal or large farmer type.
- The applicant farmer should have his own land record.
- Farmers in forest areas must have a Tribal Land Forest Rights Certificate.
- To get Battery Operated Spray Pump Sahay Yojana online application has to be done.
- Farmers have to apply online through i-Khedut portal.
How much assistance will be available in pump assistance scheme?
This is a subsidy scheme of the state government. The subsidy under this scheme is fixed in advance. Farmers of Gujarat will be benefited under the Farmer Subsidy Scheme. In which assistance will be given to women, small, marginal and big farmers. Which are as follows.
SMAM Yojana 2023
- Power operated knapsack pumps and power operated Taiwan pumps with a capacity of 8 to 12 liters have been fixed for caste-wise assistance. In which Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Caste, Women, Small, Marginal farmers will get Rs. Assistance up to 3100/- will be available. And other beneficiaries will get assistance of Rs.2500/-.
- SC/ST, Small, Marginal and Women Farmers in pumps with 12 to 16 liter capacity at Rs. 3800/- will get assistance and other beneficiaries will get assistance up to Rs.3000/-.
- More than 16 liter capacity Power Spray Pump and Power Tiava Sprayer Pump Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Small Farmers, Marginal and Women Farmers will get assistance of Rs.10000/- and other beneficiaries Rs.8000/-.
NFSM WHEAT, RICE & PULSES Scheme – NFSM WHEAT, RICE & PULSES Scheme
- The scheme benefits the National Deficit Protection Mission wheat, rice and pulses crops.
- Power nepsek sprayer with 8 to 12 liter capacity for general farmers will get benefit of 40% of price or Rs.2500/- whichever is less. Maximum benefit of this scheme will be one unit per account. The scheme provides 50% of the cost for SC/ST, small, marginal and women farmer beneficiaries or Rs. 3100/- whichever is less will get the benefit. Which will get maximum one number per account.
- For power spray pump of 12 liter to 16 liter capacity, general farmers will get benefit of 40% of cost or Rs.3000/- whichever is less. And maximum one number per account. 50% of the price for SC/ST, small, marginal and women farmer beneficiaries or Rs. 3800/- whichever is less will get the benefit. And maximum one number per farmer account.
- 40% of the cost or Rs.8000/- whichever is less for general farmers on pumps of 12 liter to 16 liter capacity. And a maximum of one number per account will be availed. For SC/ST, Small, Marginal and Women Farmers beneficiary will get 50% of the price or Rs.10000/- whichever is less. A maximum of one number will be availed per account.

Where to look for documents?
Where to document to avail pump assistance scheme? Online application forms of farmer schemes are accepted through ikhedut portal. The following documents are required to fill the online form of scheme for drug spray pump.
- Land copy 7-12
- Ration card copy of the applicant
- Copy of Aadhaar Card
- If a Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe certificate is produced
- Certificate of Disability (if any) for disabled applicant
- Consent form of other shareholder in case the farmer's land is jointly owned
- Details of soul registration if any
- Details if the farmer is a member of a co-operative society
- If the milk producer is a member of the society
- Bank account passbook
How to Apply to Battery Pump Assistance Scheme?
Farmers have to apply online through the ikhedut portal to avail the battery operated pump assistance scheme. Beneficiary farmers can apply online from VCE from their Gram Panchayat. Farmers can fill online form from taluka office and other computer operators. Farmers themselves will get information on how to apply online at home.
- Applicant must first type 'ikhedut portal' in 'Google'.
- Open the official website https://ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in/ from the result .
- After opening the farmer website click on “Plan”.
- In which, after clicking on the scheme, opening the “Click here for Khetiwadi Schemes” on rank-1.
- After opening “Khetiwadi Ni Yojana” click on Crop Protection Components.
- In which rank number-1 has to be clicked in “Crop Protection Equipment – Power Operated”.
- In which, after reading all the information about crop protection equipment - power operated, click on "Apply" and open the website.
- Are you now a registered applicant farmer? In which if the registration has been done earlier then "Yes" and if not "No" then further processing has to be done.
- If registered by the applicant, Captcha Image has to be submitted after entering Aadhar Card and Mobile Number.
- If the beneficiary farmer has not registered on Ikhedut Portal then fill the online form by selecting 'No'.
- The farmer has to save the application after filling the information completely accurately in the online form.
- The beneficiary farmers have to check the details again and confirm the application.
- No correction will be made after confirmation of online application.
- The farmer can get the print based on the application number.
Important dates
To avail the Battery Operated Spray Pump Subsidy Scheme 2023 online application has to be done. This online application can be done from iKhedoot portal. Farmers can apply online from 07/08/2023 to 06/09/2023.
