State Bank of India offers various types of Debit cum ATM cards to make daily transactions easier for its account holders. From normal SBI debit cards to foreign currency debit cards, SBI account holders can choose from a wide range of debit cum ATM cards to manage their finances conveniently.

To be eligible to apply for an SBI debit card, a customer must have a savings or a current account with SBI. However, the type of debit card issued by the bank may depend on several factors such as minimum account balance and account type, and your relationship with the Bank.

How to Apply for SBI Debit Card?

When you create an account with SBI, you are usually given a debit card as well. However, if you did not receive a debit card or wish to apply for a new one, you can contact SBI’s customer service to submit a request. You may either visit the branch or use internet banking to request a debit card.

To apply for an SBI debit card offline you can call the SBI Debit Card Customer Care Number at 080-26599990 or toll-free numbers 1800 11 2211/1800 425 3800. You can also visit an SBI branch and fill out an application to apply for a new debit card.  You will be notified via SMS on your registered mobile number regarding the dispatch of your new debit card.

You can apply for an SBI debit card online or offline. To apply online, you can:
  1. Log in to the SBI internet banking website
  2. Click on e-Services
  3. Select ATM card services
  4. Click Request ATM/debit card
  5. Authenticate your request with internet banking credentials and OTP sent to your registered mobile number
  6. You will receive a notification via SMS on your registered mobile number regarding the dispatch of your new debit card

  1. Visit your nearest SBI branch

  3. Select the account you want the ATM card for, as well as the type of the card
  4. Request for a new debit card 
The type of debit card you receive may depend on your account type, minimum balance, and relationship with the bank. SBI offers a variety of debit cards, including:

You can use your debit card at the ATM to activate it before using it for online payments. You can receive your card within 7 working days after submitting the request, directly by Speedpost at your recorded address.
