Vhali Dikri Yojana Detail: Vhali Dikri Yojana has been announced by the State Government of Gujarat. Application form filling procedure for this scheme will commence soon. ‘Vhali Dikri Yojana’ launched to save Gujarat’s daughters.
The state in the budget on Tuesday allocated Rs 133 crore for the scheme, under
which Rs 1 lake will be provided to first and second daughters of a family on
attaining 18 years of age, for their wedding or higher education. The Dy CM
told the state assembly house that the scheme, the first-of its-kind by the
Gujarat government, will help prevent female infanticide, promote education of
girls, and provide a substantial sum to fund the the higher education and
weddings of girls.
The state govt. of Gujarat has started Vhali Dikri Yojana
2019 in order to improve the sex ratio which currently stands at 883 girls per

Scholarship Amount Distribution
- Beneficiaries will get Rs. 4000/- in first enrolment in class 1st
- Second enrolment will be given in class 9th and the amount will be Rs. 6000/-
- Beneficiaries will get Rs. 100000/- when she attains age of 18 years. Vhali Dikari Yojana would be provided for a wedding or higher education.

- Once the Girl Child Enters Class 1, Financial Assistance of Rs. 4000 Will be Given
- After Entering Class 9 the Girl child gets financial assistance of Rs. 6000
- Upon Attaining age of 18 years, the State Government will transfer Rs. 1 Lakh to the beneficiary for Higher Education & Marriage.

- The Gujarat Government wants to ensure that every girl child of the state should be adequate education.
- It is a 100 % Percent Government Funded Scheme.
- Under this project, the Gujarat government has promised financial assistance of Rs.1,10,000 to every applicant who becomes a registered beneficiary.
- The Application Form for the Scheme will be accepted through Online and Offline Mode.
- The full amount will be deposited in the beneficiary’s accounts in three separate instalments.
- The amount will be transferred through Direct Bank Transfer Method.
